Dotted copper mug

I threw this mug from 1.25 pounds of stoneware clay. I kept its profile straight but I dotted its surface with multiple indentations. The handle is pulled from a blank of clay I attached to the body once the piece is in the leather hard stage. The glazes I used for this mug break and pool into the dots creating tones of green alongside the copper. 

The mugs from this batch are around 3.5" to 4" in height. Their bases are also 3.5" to 4" in diameter. They hold between 12 and 14 ounces of liquids when filled to the brim. 

This piece is food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.
