A round vase form with a narrow opening that is ideal for holding a few items in a vertical position. I coated the top half of the vase with a crystalline glaze. The bottom was coated with an American shino glaze, both in tones of gray. The interface between then two half was coated with an flux agent that causes the melty transition.
This vase stands at 7.5" tall with a diameter of 8". It was thrown from a white stoneware claybody and it is food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave safe.
