Erwin Lares is the creative force behind las rubieras pottery. Erwin loves the physicality of working with clay and the fact that the objects he creates will be able to bring joy to the person holding them.

Erwin grew up on a farm in the Venezuelas countryside. "las rubieras" is the name of his favorite part of the family farm. In the arid days of the dry season, las rubieras stands lush and green against the beating of the sun, almost like a mirage.
