A highlight of the events I have attended

Upcoming event!

The Big Gay Spring Market

They asked me back! The BGSM is going to be my first show in 2024 and I'm already pumped for it. If you are around come and support us!

Update! The Spring BGM was windy. A whole shelve came down with all the newest pieces. All the salt creatures and all the jack-o-lanterns met their untimely demise.

Other than that, it was great to see all the people who came to support us. Thank you!

Big Gay Holiday Market

I learned about the BGHM thanks for my friend ER who suggested we apply. And boy was I glad I applied. The weather wasn't cooperating; it was windy and rainy all day, but that didn't stop the crowd who came and supported us. Looking forward to it again!

Clayfest

Waukesha WI — September 9th 2023

This is where it all started! Almost everything I know about ceramics I learned here at The Potter's Shop and its teacher extraordinary Taylor McDarison. They host this annual event in September where formers students and local artists show their wares.

65th Tallman Art Fest

Janesville, WI August 5-6, 2023

I applied to the the Tallman Art Fest thanks to the insistence of the the folks I met at the farmers market who encouraged me to do it.

Boy was I happy I did! The Tallman Art Fest was very well attended. The public were very engaged. I got to meet a bunch of local artists. At the end of the day, the organizers invited me to bring my pieces to their gift shop.

Art at the Park

Appleton, WI July 23-24, 2023

This was the first bonafide art show I attended as a potter.

I learned a lot, met other potters, who were way more prepared than I was! The public was friendly and engaging. I hope I get to do it again in 2024.

Janesville Farmers Market

Janesville WI - September 24th 2022

Setting up my booth at the Farmers Market in Janesville was a momentous occasion for me. This is the first time I gathered the courage to bring my pottery to the public.

Here you can see me with my friend Henk. He was the person who introduced me to pottery. So I'll be eternally grateful to him for this gift.

I thought we could do the pottery thing together, but alas, it did not work that way and Mud Buds morphed into las rubieras pottery.
