This vase is a bottle form with a narrow neck wider shoulders than taper down toward the vase. The vase is 9" tall and 3.25" in diameter.
I carved the surface with a pattern of elongated indentations that suggest cyclical changes. The reactive glaze on this vase adds visual interest as it melts and streaks in hues of blue and also break over sharp edges to reveal the dark claybody underneath.
