A generous-sized bowl that is made from a rich chocolate brown claybody. I created the concentric rings on the inside with colored slip. I then carved the botanical patterns with a loop tool.
I also carved the outside of the bowl to provide a textural contrast and make the bowl easier to hold. I inlaid glaze in the individual carvings.
The bowl is 9.4" in diameter and 4" tall. It is food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe.
